The Local Area

The church in Ludgvan village is very old, parts being as early as the 7th Century.  The building next to the Church, now the village pub, was originally built to house workmen when part of the Church was being restored in the 14th Century.  Wayside Cottage was already in existence before this time.  The pub, which has recently been restored to its Victorian decor, serves traditional country meals.  The nearby village of CROWLAS has several small shops including a Village Store, Post Office, butchers shop and a fish & Chip shop.

PENZANCE offers a wide range of Old Inns, restaurants, shops and boating activities.  This area is also popular with bird watchers and ramblers.
