ABOUT US
The Warrington & District Lawn Tennis Association was formed in 1967 its objectives being to provide and promote lawn tennis for clubs in the neighbourhood of Warrington. Membership is open to such clubs as the executive committee may approve.
The Association incorporates :  The Dunlop Warrington Tennis league and the Stockton Heath & District lawn tennis tournament.
The Dunlop Warrington League has 18 affiliated clubs at present who can enter teams in separate Gents, Ladies and Mixed leagues. The Gents & Ladies run concurrently and the mixed starts when the other two finish in mid-July.
The Gents league  has 68 teams divided into 7 divisions of 10. The  Ladies league has 51 teams divided into 7 divisions of 8 and the Mixed has 55 teams divided into 7 divisions of 8.
Teams consist of  3 couples who each play 2 sets against 2 opposing couples making a total of 12 sets per match.
The J L Ardern cup is a knock-out handicap competition for all teams and this runs during the season.

                                                   TOURNAMENTS

The STOCKTON HEATH  is a senior Tournament with events for Ladies, Men and Veterans in  both singles and doubles plus  Mixed doubles and  an under 23 mens event. The Tournament is held in June each year.

The WARRINGTON JUNIOR TOURNAMENT  has official rating status and incorporates singles and doubles events for both  boys and girls in age groups  under 12; 14 ;16; 18 plus under 18 mixed. The Tournament is held in July each year.
