This years tournament was blessed with good weather over the weekend enabling all matches to be completed on time. Although the entry was down on last year, the standard of tennis was very good and the were a lot of close exciting matches

After winning the U14 singles last year, Alex Grocott returned to take the under 16 title  and also won the mixed doubles.

Chloe Chan , last years r/u in the U16, came back to win the title this year and also claimed the doubles title as well.

Another returning player was Teddy Bennett, who retained his U18 singles title.

Probably the unluckiest player was Sasha Jones who appeared in 3 finals, but had to settle for r/u in all events.

Thanks must go to Monkhouse sports and Dunlop for their continued sponsorship of the event. Also Stockton heath LTC for making the venue available over the weekend.

Individual thanks to Secretary Jonathan Dixon and Janet Cliffe and last but not least to referee and organiser John Woodroofe, who once again did a great job in organising the whole event.
