Like one or two others here, I am firmly rooted in the
"People's Friend". I used to buy "Knitting"
fairly regularly but now that it has become little more than a
second-rate lifestyle magazine, with all its "proper"
designs coming from wool companies while those from so-called
designers are all really rather silly (sorry, dear, no offence
intended to you) I simply cannot be bothered with it.
Sorry to rabbit on at such length, dear, but I just wanted to say
how much I have always liked your knitwear designs and unlike (I
suspect) many "Knitting" readers, I have actually made a
fair few garments over my lifetime. Yours have always impressed me
with your attention to detail and they actually look as if they
were made for real people too!
However, I had simply no idea that you were so prolific both in
knitting, of course, and in the weaving, which is quite
remarkable, so I felt I simply had to write to tell you how much I
have enjoyed your own particular "take" on wool.

pattern I'd started, well I finished it and have worn it a few
times to rave reviews ;-) if you know what I mean.
Seriously, when I tell ppl I made it myself there so impressed. I
love it.

9-tenths of those here, I DON'T buy Knitting magazine (sorry, but
I think there's far too little in it to warrant the cover price),
but I did make your Poppy Jacket (and I love it) so my question
is, do you only work for them, or will we People's Friend readers
ever see you publishing for us again?
Personal moan aside, I really do like your designs and your
weaving looks just delightful.

wanted to say a big THANX for making your patterns so easy to
follow. just finished it - and i was abit worryed at first cos it
looked complercated my freind said your stuff was ok if you just
followd the instructions (AND DID WHAT YOU WERE
TOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and boy was she rite! SO BIG THANX and i have
