Barbara tutors City & Guilds Design and Craft courses in stitched textiles at Missenden Abbey in Buckinghamshire and Studio 39 in Hertfordshire and Athens, Greece. You can view the year on year success of her students in the Student Showcase. Details of talks, demonstrations and workshops can be found on the Teaching page.
Barbara has had two solo exhibitions and her work has been shown in internationally touring exhibitions. Barbara has also produced private and public commissions, which can be seen in the Portfolio.

  • 'Design & Make!' - An exhibition of City & Guilds Stitched Textiles from Studio 39 at The Free Church, Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6PS; 28-29 November, 1-5pm. Demonstrations, home made cakes and teas and the opportunity to participate in a hands-on activity: make a Quilt for Project Linus.
  • You can see a selection of Barbara's 'Coastlines' at the new 'b Gallery', Market Square, Toddington. Opens 5th December until the end of January.
  • 'Where the Rainforest Meets the Sea' Barbara's on-going Journal Quilts, together with her latest 'Coastlines' pieces, are displayed in the Portfolio



  • Barbara has recently recorded a short piece for Justhands-on TV where she talks about her Journal Quilts and how her ideas are developed from her sketchbooks. This programme should be online in November.
