Workshop: Design from Landscape

You will learn to develop designs for a variety of stitched textile techniques from the inspiration of a landscape photograph or postcard. This workshop is for beginners, not artists! It is for students who want to learn to create designs from their own source material.You will develop a colour study and learn how to use colouring media:- paint & papers to create a variety of designs.

At the end of the day you will have a variety of designs suitable for different textile projects including silk painting and embroidery as well as applique, patchwork and quilting.

This workshop provides a good starting point for the Bonded Impressions workshop.
