This book was described by reviewers as an 'intelligent thriller which has pace and a sense of the exotic; a page turner'.  Action takes place in London, New York, Barcelona and Monte Carlo.  Nick Royle is a dealer in diamonds and his chance meeting with the beautiful Rosie on a flight to New York, changes his whole life.  Rosie picks his pocket, stealing three perfect diamonds, but rather than report her, he befriends her, later falling in love with her.  Together they plan to steal the 'Geneva Diamond' valued at nine million pounds.  There are many distractions when they are defrauded by a Middle Eastern sheikh, who lands them in trouble with a large amount of counterfeit money,  The police accept Nick's explanation and he is released from prison, but the sheikh escapes the law and Nick.  The Mafia don who has threatened their very existence takes a personal role in trying to kill them both, but when a stone shatters his windscreen at high speed, he loses control of his car and is killed outright.  The story ends with Nick and Rosie leaving for their honeymoon. The sequel, which will be published shortly, is a story about rubies and diamonds and the fateful meeting of Nick and Rosie with the sheikh again.
