Why we should pray

Prayer is our way of talking to the Father through the Son.  Jesus spent a lot of his time in prayer and even gave us guidelines on how to pray, and of course also the prayer we use so much today (Matthew 6:5-13) 

Prayer is also the way that the Father talks to us.  It is a time when we can be receptive to his leadings. 

The good thing about prayer is that anyone can pray at any time, we need no special training or preparation. 

Quite a lot of my prayer during the day is said on the move, but I also take some time out each day to sit quietly in prayer and communicating with my Lord.
