Guidance To New Members On Rambles
| Be properly equipped - Boots, Waterproofs, Warm Clothing & Sufficient Food & Drink. | |
| Advisable to carry with you two plastic bags to cover boots on returning to coach, or if a pub stop is planned as part of walk. | |
| Ensure you know where the ramble ends from the details passed around the coach. | |
| Keep member in front and behind in sight particularly at turns and junctions. | |
| When required on country lanes or across fields keep to single file. | |
| Do not leave the party without informing the Ramble leader. | |
| If there is a need for delay then inform the Ramble leader. | |
| Walking on roads, keep to the right to face oncoming traffic unless sharp bends dictate otherwise to improve visibility. | |
| If lost or detached from the group, try to attract attention by blowing whistle or calling. If this fails, retrace your steps to the where you were last with the group. If after a while you are still unsuccessful then try to make your own way back to the finishing point or advise Police. Do not make your own way home without notifying the Police in that area. | |
| Leave gates and property as you find them. | |
| No dogs or radios. |
PLEASE NOTE: That ALL Members & Guests attending rambles & any other Club Events do so at their own risk.
