As of January 2006 the time and effort expended over the previous three years by the clubs Centenary Committee was rewarded by all tasks being completed. The committee comprised Derek Edwards, Mike Reid, and Derek Whittaker, who in turn were supported by many club members furnishing information and knowledge.

Listing the various achievements

1. The Centenary Booklet which involved Mike in many hours of time perusing newspaper articles from 1906 to date, followed by Derek Whittaker spending many more hours compiling these articles into a form that could be used in our booklet, We now know for sure that their efforts were worthwhile.

2. Other items such as badges, trophies, pens and particularly our centenary presentation print, kept Derek Edwards very busy throughout the winter months, he also had a brief on the booklet providing advice and assistance.

The above information doesn’t really give full credit for the amount of time and energy that went into the centenary celebrations by this committee, WELL DONE TO ALL CONCERNED!
