Hi, my name is Diane Pearson and I live in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.  I am married to John and have 2 children, Lewis and Charlotte.  We have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Ruby, a cat called Teddy, two gerbils and now look after other people's small animals as well.  I have recently given up breeding and showing pedigree miniature lop rabbits and also used to breed pedigree Ragdoll cats.  See below for more information about me and my experience with animals.

Westhill Pet Services.  Due to the number of enquiries I received when breeding rabbits I decided to set up this service.  I can now board small animals at my home, visit your pets in their own homes if required or walk your dog.  I have been police checked and am fully insured.

Rabbit breeding - I decided to breed pedigree rabbits after doing a lot of research, through the internet, by speaking to other breeders, pet shops and rescues.  Pedigree rabbits are quite rare in Aberdeen and I feel that there is a big problem with people buying rabbits from pet shops as they are often bought on impulse as baby rabbits are so cute.  Pet shops do not see the adult rabbits and therefore many pet shop bought baby rabbits grow much bigger than expected and some may not have been handled at all before being sold.  All the baby rabbits I bred were well handled and very friendly and could come back to me if there were any problems.  So far I have bred Lionheads, Mini Rex and Mini Lops.  For more information on rabbits and some cute photos please click here.  Please note I am not breeding rabbits at present.

Cat Breeding - I also used to breed Ragdoll Cats but had to give this up as I didn't have the time to dedicate to them when my own children were very young.  Ragdolls are semi-longhaired cats and need lots of human attention being more like dogs than cats.  They also have to be kept indoors as they don't tend to have much road sense.  After the last litter went to new homes I decided to also find new homes for the adults.  Two of the females went to a breeder in the South of England and the others went to loving pet homes.  Offspring of my Ragdolls are still being show today.

Our other pets - We have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Ruby a rescue cat called Teddy and two male gerbils called Max and Suma.  I have also had many other pets in the past including budgies, cockatiels, hamsters and tropical fish.
