Britain (Excluding Ireland) is divided into twenty-six Provinces. The Province of West Lancashire has the highest membership with roughly 500 Brethren in 19 Conclaves established at various Masonic Halls between Widnes and Whitehaven.

The Province covers an area from Carlisle in the North to Widnes in the South and was constituted on 30 October 1974 when the Province of Lancashire and Cheshire was split into the Provinces of West Lancashire, Cheshire and North Wales, and East Lancashire.

The first Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler was R.Wy.Bro. W.H. Cartwright, J.P. who was installed at Warrington in October 1974 and held office for just short of twenty-one years until his retirement on 31 March 1995. His successor was R.Wy.Bro. J. Alan Bibby who was installed by the then M.Wy. Grand Supreme Ruler, Col. G.S.H. Dicker, C.B.E.,T.D.,D.L. on 1 September 1995. He had previously served six years as Deputy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler and retired as Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler on Saturday 15th September 2007 when R.Wy.Bro. Ian Hamilton Taylor was installed by the M.Wy. Grand Supreme Ruler Peter Glyn Williams at Wellington Park, Leyland.

4. Fylde Conclave No.125 (Map) (Warranted 10 May 1954) meets at the Masonic Hall, Poulton-le-Fylde on the 2nd. Sat. of March (I), September and December.

5. Southport Conclave No.159 (Map) (Warranted 24 March 1960) meets at the Masonic Hall, Duke Street, Southport on the Last Mon. in January, March and November (I).

6. Bold Conclave No.187 (Map) (Warranted 10 November 1965) meets at the Masonic Temple, Kingsway, Widnes on the 2nd. Fri. in February, April (I), September and November.

7. Red Rose of Lancaster Conclave No.190 (Map) (Warranted 10 March 1966) meets at the Masonic Hall, Hope Street, Liverpool on the 1st. fifth Thurs. after 1st. January, 1st. April and 1st. September (I).

8. Palatine Conclave no.227 (Map) (Warranted 7 May 1971) meets at the Masonic Hall, Rowley Court, Scotforth Road, Lancaster, LA1 4NP on the 1st. Fri. in January, April (I) and October.

18. Bill Cartwright Conclave No.506 (Map) (Warranted 10 May 2007) meets at the Masonic Hall, Winmarleigh Street, Warrington on the 2nd. Fri. in March (I) and one other alternative venue within the Province.
