We have fortnightly indoor flying sessions during the Winter months at the Crewkerne Leisure Centre, usually for two hours between 7.00pm and 9.00pm on alternate Mondays- non members welcome - cost should be less than £10.00 per head.

We have the benefit of two flying sites as follows:-

 

Agusta Westland Airfield, Yeovil

 

Flying Times for internal combustion engines are limited to:-

Mondays  - 18.00 hrs to 20.30 hrs or sunset, whichever is earlier

(78dBA noise limit applies)

Wednesdays - 18.00 hrs to 20.30 hrs or sunset, whichever is earlier

Saturdays and  

Bank Holidays - Noon to 20.30 hrs or sunset, whichever is earlier

Sundays - 09.30 hrs to 13.30 hrs (i.c. helicopters only)

 

Silent flight may be carried out on the Airfield on any evening and

on Sundays subject to Airfield rules.

 

 

Bearley Field (North of the A303 opposite Tintinhull)

 

Flying Times are:-

Weekdays - 09.30 hrs to 20.00 hrs or sunset, whichever is earlier

Saturdays  - 09.30 hrs to 20.00 hrs or sunset, whichever is earlier

Sundays - 09.30 hrs to 13.30 hrs

 

A number of our members also fly slope soarers at Corton Denham

near Sherborne.
