Firsts Lose to Lynton

Firsts lost to Lynton by 10 runs on Sunday.Lynton batted first and scored 204.Sean bagged three wickets and the rest were pretty much shared around.Westleigh started well with James and Danny putting on a half century before Danny was given out LBW to a ball that looked a tad high.

Great to see Braundy and Jamie back albeit a little rusty!Westleigh were always in contention right up to the final LBW. Everyone made a contribution.James top scored with 45 but he was ably assisted by Chris, Sean, Gordon and Richard,

Westleigh looked favourites up to final LBW, with the strongest looking tail seen up there for many a year, and with the accomplished Gordon Wint in full flow despite a severely bruised hand

Unfortunately it wasn't to be, but there were plenty of positives and lessons to be taken out of the game
