Deep

'Deep' was my first attempt at a fine art video on my own, completed in May/June 1999.
In classic Random Tangent style, I was really really pleased with 'Deep' when it was finished, and really felt that I had achieved exactly what I wanted to. Unfortunately the tutors thought otherwise. They watched the film before even reading my essay, so they had no clue what I was actually expressing (ok, so maybe the film should have done that, but hey, I was only a student!). Then they even tried to suggest that my sketchbook of notes and photos and ideas and thoughts that I had been doing over a number of months had actually been done the night before my assessment.
After a week they changed their minds and gave me a pass, which was nice.
