After the war we moved to my uncle Jack’s farm near Chorley in Lancashire, where we lived for several years, later we moved to a house in the town of Chorley. My main education was at a school in Chorley, Lancashire, England and I left aged 15 years in 1954 and secured an apprenticeship with a small Radio & Television business. I studied Radio and Television electronics at The Wigan and District Mining and Technical College where I attended day release courses until I was 21 years of age. Over the years there were various other employments in home entertainment electronics, office electronics, computers and printers, then after 16 years with the same employer came redundancy in 1993. It was at this time that I set up my own self employment business carrying out computer related work until semi-retirement in 2005 and full retirement in July 2007....................See “My Business” page.
Family Potted History 2
There were four off springs in the family, first born was Scott , who died very young during illness. Later (pictured right) came Keira, Clarke, and Hilton the youngest who regrettably lost his life in a motorcycle accident. As of this time there are four grandchildren, Myles, Georgina, Matthew and Jay, and one great grandchild Jack.
And of course not forgetting my wonderful wife Barbara.
