To be honest I have done this so many times now it is second nature, however the instructions on the Humax site are fine, but:
- It is advisable to reset to default after the update.

Has anyone actually run the update through a usb/serial converter ? Reason I ask is that the lead humax specify is 3 wires only (no flow control), and the Oak software waits for Humax to turn on before sending data, so there must be some handshake it uses - I just wonder if a usb/serial adaptor will properly mimic this ??

I'm sure it would be fine, but if someone can confirm this it might save some struggling for this poster!

I updated using a usb -> serial convertor - remember you have to change the COM port in windows device manager to between 1-4 for the OAK sw to work - also try changing the baud rate to match the default in the OAK sw - it was a lower rate by default within windows.
worked first time for me!
