The lifeboat launched to a report of two girls in
difficulties off Love's Beach, Leysdown.
At 1756, with the lifeboat still a mile from
Leysdown, Sheppey Mobile Coastguard arrived on scene and reported that the
girls were now in shallow water, and wading ashore.
As they were no longer in need of any
assistance, the lifeboat was released to return to station.
