The Burton Bipolar Explorers group has been successfully running for a number of years and has proven to be a valuable support service for sufferers and carers, living in and around the local Burton district.
Bi Polar Explorers is a self help group, which provides a safe, friendly and confidential environment, in which you can talk to others, share experiences and learn new self help management techniques.
We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7pm; the group normally lasts 2 hours. This is a free drop in service, no appointment is necessary, and refreshments are provided.
Each month, we provide different activities, ranging from open discussion sessions, to various speakers, for example Pharmacists, Holistic Therapists, Dieticians and Community Psychiatric team members.
Our group is supported by a local CPN (Community Psychiatric Nurse), whom is very passionate about issues surrounding support for bipolar disorder, his attendance has been a real asset to our group, his wealth of knowledge and contribution is always much appreciated.
The group also runs a free library service, with up to date books and documents available for you to borrow.
If you would like to come along, click on our contact page for further details, we look forward to seeing you.
