  • LINCOLNSHIRE 26/9 40 Grey Partridges Anwick Fen. Recently Long Tailed Field Mouse Bassingham. 2/10 8 House Martins and a Swallow east of Scamblesby. Black Swan with Mute Swan and Cygnets Withern area. 4/10 Hobby brought down in strong winds in a Cumberworth garden. 5/10 23 House Martins over pond east of Burwell. 5/10 2 Spotted Redshank and 3 Little Egrets Manby Flashes. Sooty Shearwater past Mablethorpe. Little Stint at Toft Newton Reservoir & Paradise Poll Saltfllet. 6/10 Red Kite Farforth wing tag on left wing white with Y shape in middle and black bar at bottom = 1st year bird from NORTHAMPTONSHIRE. 7/10 2 Adult and 5 young Swallows over Ewerby at 5.15pm. Spoonbill south over west dunes at Gibraltar Point. 8/10 250 Pink Footed Geese over Frampton & Kirton saltmarshes. 9/10 Juvenile Osprey Barton-on-Humber for 2nd day. 27 Common Buzzards seen in 4 hours between Tetford, Burwell and Donington on Bain, also a possible 30 young Kestrels. Off Trusthorpe:- Long Tailed Skua, Great Skua, Black Throated Diver, adult Meditteranean Gull, 2 Arctic Skuas and 265 Pink Footed Geese. Richardsons Canada Goose (Hutchensii) dropped in for half an hour at Covenham Reservoir.
  • CORNWALL 7/10 20 Grey Phalaraopes Sennen Cove. Common Nighthawk at The Lizard flew in off sea betwwen Church Cove & Lizard Point, it flew towards Church Cove. 8/10 Alder or Willow (most likely Willow) Flycatcher south east of Lands End at seaward end of Nanjizal Valley in Bracken south of Nanjizal house half way along path from Higher Bosistowe Farm at grid ref 358236, please park at Lands End and walk south east. Apart from voice Alder & Willow Flycatchers are thought by several main bodies to be inseperable even in the hand. 10/10 25 Juvenile Pale Bellied Brent Geese in Mounts Bay between Marazion & Long Rock, also 5 White Wagtails.
  • DUMFRIES & GALLOWAY 8/10 3 Slavonian Grebes Loch Ryan from Wig Picnic area also 3 Long Tailed Ducks, 6 Whooper Swans, at least 20 Goosanders and 7 Red Breasted Mergnsers.
  • KENT 9/10 6 Black Redstarts at Cliff in field by Abbots House.
  • AZORES 7/10 Common Yellowthroat in Flores at Lagoa Seca.
  • LONDON 10/10 At least 4 Firecrests at Stoke Newington in Abney Cemetery.
  • FINLAND 7/10 Azure Tit in Luumaki at Lennusjarvi between Heikinkyla and Lindkoski.
  • CLEVELAND 8/10 White's Thrush at Hartlepool Headland in off sea, it continued west along the headland.
  • COUNTY CORK 7/10 A 1st summer male Scarlet Tanager west of Castletown Bearhaven at Garinish point at grid ref.
