All's good studio computer now fixed (cheers Martin) songs for "Footprints" project all recorded, just the graphics to sort and it's job done
Slight crisis the recording of the "Footprints" album has suffered a setback as our studio computer is not well. Dr Martin is investigating, it may need surgery
We had a smashing time at Shrewsbury Festival, met up with some old friends and made some new ones thanks for all who braved the dark and came to our concert on the Friday night and for the mammoth session in the bar on the Monday night

Great evening with Sue Marchant on her "Big Night In" show" on BBC Radio Cambridge 19th August. you can listen again here
So the summer's nearly over (did it ever begin?) - Cambridge has been and gone and only one big festival left. We'll be at Shrewsbury the whole weekend, playing a concert spot in the Sabrina Marquee on the Friday evening and running sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Hope to see some of you there.
In the meantime there are some new songs on the way and Kip's bought a new toy - a Xaphoon (a sort of a cross between a clarinet and a recorder - currently known as the duck scarer!)
A little ditty for all those going through the consultation bullshit blues
We are currently working on some new songs written about our home town of Sleaford
The songs are based on the writtings of a Mr David Smith who lived in Sleaford toward the end on the 19th and early 20th Century. The plan is to get some Sleafordians involved in the recordings and make them available this autumn.

"An unreserved success" Steve Caseman R2 (Rock n Reel)
"Clearsighted"Stylish and thoughtful" FROOTS
"This album shows that Winter Wilson are, as I said, always seriously good performers. .......Their vocal harmonies just ooze certainty: and Dave’s thrilling guitar work is just as authoritative"

"These songs haven't just been written, they've been lived. As ever, sung with feeling and minimal fuss." Leicester Bangs

Second skin........ isn't actually a new album, it's a new recording of our first album "By the skin of our teeth". We'd run out of copies of the original and so we re-recorded the album and added an extra track "Mr O'Malley" It's all acoustic as was the original, but we've changed some of the arrangements to reflect how we now sing the songs live.
We've gone digital !! all of our albums are on available on iTunes, click on the links and you can download track for 79p, it's a bargain!!
