TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR MANAGERIAL SUCCESS

  1. REMEMBER the manager is also a part of the team. Don't distance yourself from your team
  2. GET the team to believe in itself and in the objectives You are after. Hold regular 'booster' meetings.
  3. GET the team to all pull the same way. Co-ordinate your aims
  4. OBSERVE and listen to individuals. Don't talk to talk too much and if necessary talk to team members privately.
  5. IF you hit a bad patch identify the problems as soon as possible and take action to overcome them and re-instill enthusiasm
  6. DON'T jump to conclusions. Bite on bullet until you are aware of all the facts
  7. THE team expects strong leadership and authority. Make sure they get it from YOU-
  8. LAUGHTER breaks down barriers. Laugh with your team.
  9. You must command the loyalty of your team. Be loyal to them.
  10. Your don't gain respect by signing your contract of employment. Respect must be earned
