Put in the most simplistic form, coaching is a series of confidential conversations conducted with the specific aim of creating positive personal change. In reality, it can be more complex than this, but the starting point of any coaching programme involves us exploring what is actually going on right now and you deciding on a preferred future. After an initial consultation, an agreed number of meetings will take place, either in person or by phone, directed specifically towards bringing about the desired changes in the shortest possible time.
Using any techniques or skills that are appropriate for bringing about desired changes (e.g. NLP & hypnosis), coaching helps you to target unhelpful strategies or behaviours that you might have been unaware of, but which
may be inadvertently blocking your route to a more sought-after future. It’s not magic, but the results of coaching can be so effective that they change the beliefs of the person being coached. In many situations, this is integral to the process of personal change.
