| Sat, 9 May 2009 | 'Celebrating Children Day' at St Albans Cathedral for children and families. This is a day organised by a team from the diocese for children and their families. There will be a planetarium, an illusionist, puppets, craft and African drummers. It should be a huge event. Please take a leaflet and return it to Ruth Pyke if you have children that you could bring. Volunteers needed 8th & 9th May. Ruth is desperate for offers of help on Friday 8th May (3.00-4.30pm or 5.45-6.45pm) to arrange furniture at the Cathedral, and again on Saturday afternoon 9th May (from 3.00pm-6.00pm) to rearrange the chairs. |

Cake Stall outside the Co-op in aid of Christian Aid. If anyone can make cakes or offer help to man the cake stall, please can they contact Sue Sowley on 480875. This is our main contribution to raise funds for Christian Aid - and a great opportunity to show the churches working together in our village. Cakes for the stall should be taken to 45 Manor Road by Friday 15th May. |
