Comparisons
January has started the year wetter than normal, but not excessively so. February ended fairly dry. The second half of March was extremely fine and dry. April showers were noticeable by their absence. Changeable weather in May did not produce the normal rainfall, for the fourth month in a row. June rainfall was less than half the average, and half of that fell within 24 hours! July managed to get the average rainfall. August had very little and it was nearly all in one day! September stayed mostly dry. A record low rainfall for October is unlikely to be repeated in November. At last, a significantly wet month has arrived with November! Although it seemed quite wet to me, December still came in below average.
