Comparisons

January has been much drier than normal. February was a bit wetter, but still not good. The downpours at the end of March got us just over the average for the month - we now have a hosepipe ban! April still well down on normal. After the wettest May in (local) records (not enough to end the hosepipe ban) came the driest June. July was made about average by a few good thunderstorms. August had an average amount of rain, in the end, although most of fell in about four or five days. The same happened in September, but the total was less than average. October came in about average, spread over about seven days of rain. November was damper than usual (mainly on the 18th). December was also slightly damper.
