Comparisons
January has been a bit wetter than normal. February has also been quite damp, especially in the second and fourth weeks. March started quite wet then dried out. No measurable rain in April at all (just a couple of brief showers)! May was quite damp, with more than double the average (66 mm in 48 hours), even though the first week was dry! June started dry and ended very wet so that it seems average! (We escaped the major floods seen elsewhere.) As expected, July was a record for rainfall! Summer continued with a wetter August than normal. Finally September and October came drier than normal! November was suitably damp, with most of it in three consecutive days. December's rain was heavy on Christmas Day making up for the two preceding weeks of dry cold weather.
