Comparisons

"In the night of 4th January we had 2cm snow on top of the already hard frost". Most of February's rain was in the first days up to the deluge around the 10th. March came out a little drier. April was close to normal with most of the rain falling on the11th and 16th. May was very dry (by the start of June all my rain water barrels were empty). Most of what did fail was in the middle of the month. "27th June - Severe thunderstorm between 7 and 8pm. 44mm of rain recorded in less than 2 hours making it the wettest day since October 2001" (Slip End Weather Data). Although the first six days of July were fairly dry, it was another month of above average rainfall (So much for the "Barbecue Summer"! "September with 10mm rain was the driest month since April 2007" (Slip End Weather Data).
