The solid lines are the values for the month for 2004.
The short dashed lines are the averaged values for the month from
1993 to 2003.
The long dashed lines (extremes) show the highest and lowest
values for that month since 1993.
Comparisons
A quite average January, except for the peak high. The averages were average in February, with the peaks diverging. March was still fairly average. April was warmer than average, but not enough to break any records. May was again average. (Maybe boredom is better than the excitement we could get!). Temperatures were slightly warmer than average in June. July saw significantly lower maximum temperatures (when the minima were normal); while August saw elevated minima (when the maxima were average). September saw quite warm temperatures (after the schools had gone back), but October, November and December returned to near to the averages.
