The solid lines are the values for the month for 2005.
The short dashed lines are the averaged values for the month from
1993 to 2004.
The long dashed lines (extremes) show the highest and lowest
values for that month since 1993.
Comparisons
A quite average January, followed by a chilly February. March went towards the extremes, but averaged out to normal. April has been extremely average. May was mostly average but with a very high peak (a record for May). June was appreciably warmer than normal. July was a fairly average month with only some peak highs for excitement. August seemed even more average without any outstanding figures. September managaged to continue Summer with a record high temperature. October was very mild - most noticeably the minimum values were quite high! A bit of a cold snap reduced the minima for November somewhat, but the maxima were about normal. December was about normal.
