Comparisons

January averaged a bit warmer than usual, with no very cold spell. February was still relatively warm with major flucuations each day. Really quite mild March except for the third week. April averaged out normal (cold on the 7th though). The third (cooler) week of May helped bring averages down to about normal. June was fairly consistently OK and July was trying to be average. No high temperatures in August (washed away by the record rain!). A cool September. "28th/29th Oct, Cold Snap, 3cm Snow fell between 7and 10pm and then it froze down to -3C" (Slip End Weather Data). All november values down on the averages, but no new record. December stayed quite cold in the last week.
