Accessibility Statement

Introduction

We aim to cater for the needs of our visitors in our home-based three-bedroom bed and breakfast. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.

Pre-Arrival

· The Wymondham train station is 10 minutes away by car/taxi. The

Norwich train station is 40 minutes away by car/taxi.

· There are local taxi services, we can make a booking for you or provide you with a list of telephone numbers.

· We have a website.

· You can contact us by telephone, fax, or email.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

· On arrival to the property there is ample off road, flood lit, car parking which has a level, flat gravelled surface, and an illuminated paved path leads to the well lit front porch.

· There is a 170mm step up into the porch where there is a bell push to

summon assistance.

· We are more than willing to assist guests with their luggage.

Main Entrance & Reception

· Entry to our home is via a 730mm wide door, which has a 120mm

threshold.

· The L-shaped entrance hall measures 3200mm x 3700mm.

· A 13 tread stair case leads up to the first floor bedrooms. The stairs are 800mm wide with a rise of 180mm per step and have an average tread width of 240mm. There is a hand rail on the left hand side which is 900mm above the treads.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

· All flooring within the guest areas consists of short pile carpeting.

· All bedrooms are en-suite, there is no public WC available.

Laundry

· A light iron is available for guests use.

· Laundry is available by arrangement.

Lounge and Dining Room

· A 750mm door leads from the entrance hall into the comfortably furnished lounge and dining room.

· An upright rigid armed chair is available on request.

· The rectangular dining room table has an under space of 600mm and a height of 740mm, it is 1200mm wide and is 2400mm long, the legs are on each corner.

· There are chairs with arms and without which can be moved to

accommodate needs.

Bedrooms

· All bedrooms are on the first floor and are accessed by the galleried landing which has a minimum width of 950mm with a hand rail 900mm above the floor.

· Emergency lighting is provided on the stairs landing.

· All bedrooms are en-suite, there is no public WC available.

The Primrose Bedroom

· A 750mm wide door opens in from the landing.

· The room can be made up with twin beds or a super king bed, which are 360mm high.

· There is 750mm to one side of the beds, 1400mm to the other, and 1750mm at the foot of the beds.

· The T.V. has teletext and a remote control.

· 2 chairs and a small table are provided.

· A 660mm wide door opens into the 1900mm x 1900mm en-suite shower room.

· The corner shower measures 1200mm x 900mm and has a door opening of 540mm with a 150mm step.

· The washbasin has a rounded front and is built on a 840mm high vanity unit.

· The WC is 410mm high.

The Bluebell Bedroom

· A 750mm wide door opens in from the landing.

· The double bed is 660mm high.

· There is 600mm to one side of the bed, 1400mm to the other, and 1000mm at the foot.

· The T.V. has teletext and a remote control.

· 2 chairs are provided.

· A 650mm wide door opens into the 1900mm x 2500mm en-suite bathroom.

· The bath is 1700mm x 750mm overall and has a 540mm high side.

· The washbasin has a rounded front and is built on a 840mm high vanity unit.

· The WC is 390mm high.

The Poppy Bedroom

· A 750mm wide door opens in from the landing.

· The double bed is 660mm high.

· There is 650mm to one side of the bed, 1850mm to the other, and 1100mm at the foot.

· The T.V. has teletext and a remote control.

· 2 chairs are provided.

· A 650mm wide door opens into the 1900mm x 1900mm en-suite shower room.

· The square shower unit measures 850mm x 850mm and has a corner door with an opening of 380mm with a 190mm step.

· The washbasin has a rounded front and is built on a 840mm high vanity unit.

· The WC is 380mm high.

Grounds and Gardens

· Guests are welcome to use our spacious enclosed gardens.

Additional Information

· We are able to use the front and back doors in the need of evacuation, the house alarm rings continuously if evacuation is needed. If you require assistance for evacuation please notify us on arrival and we will ensure you are evacuated safely e.g. hearing impairment.

· We are a no smoking building. Smoking is allowed in the garden and we will provide ashtrays on request.

· We supply a small drinks fridge in the bedrooms which can be used for medication/food and we can put larger items in our main fridge on request (not available 24 hours)
