Due to the success of our website, we are receiving an ever increasing number of enquiries for which nearly always some research is required to enable us to make a suitable reply. Previously we have not charged for this work, however, our Group is a 'not for profit' organization and we rely on the occasional grant for equipment, or donations from people who appreciate the work we are doing. We welcome links both to and from our website, for examples go to our Links page.

We shall be continuing our research and place as much information as we can on this website. Email enquiries whilst welcome, do slow down the work of our volunteers. We therefore suggest there is a minimum donation made to the Group of say £10 Sterling, $15 US Dollars or 15€ Euros , this is to help cover our incidental expenses; (we reserve the right to increase this amount dependent on requests made),  If sending a cheque this should be made out to WPRG and sent to:-

Site Objective

The objective of this website is to provide information about the heritage of Woodborough, a Nottinghamshire village 8 miles north-east of the city of Nottingham. Most sections in this website are about people, events and buildings past and present. Many photographs have been included in support of the text, the text has quite often been written by local people. Our brief is wide ranging and providing the subject matter has its origins within the Woodborough Parish, no topic is too small or too large and we welcome contributions from any source. We are pleased to recognize the financial support received from, The Heritage Lottery Fund 'Awards for All' and the Notts Rural Community Council and also residents of Woodborough who have assisted us in many different ways.

All of the following page layouts are simply designed using Netscape 7.1. The majority of pages have standard pixel width of 800 pixels; therefore this site is best viewed on screen settings of 800x600 or better.  Now that Broadband is more widespread, we are increasing the size of some photographs and the frame width of some sections to 980 pixels. This is intended to be helpful, please let us know if when viewing our pages you experience problems.
