The double-run to Sweet Green on 765 (Upper Rochford - Hereford, 1st W of month) was deleted from 2 October 1991. From 28 October 1991, Monday to Friday peak hour journeys on 758 (Tenbury - Eardiston - Worcester, NSu) no longer serve Menithwood. From 21 April 1992, 756 (Menithwood - Tenbury, T) was diverted via Eastham Hall to partially replace 762. From the same date or the next relevant date thereaftre, 761 (Eastham Hall - Upper Rochford - Tenbury, S) was revised to operate as a circular from Tenbury via Newnham Bridge, whilst a 1230 Tuesday only round trip to/from Rochford was added to the 0840 Monday to Friday journey from Rochford on the service. 762 (Eardiston - Stan- ford Bridge - Eastham - Broadheath - Kyre - Tenbury, TS) was diverted via Clifton-on-Teme on Tues- days, replacing 763 (Stanford Bridge - Clifton-on-Teme - Broadheath - Tenbury, T). The timings of 767 (Tenbury Town Services, TS) were amended to fit the new schedules. Yarranton Bros. of Eardiston : The peak-hour Eardiston - Tenbury journeys on 758 (Tenbury - Worcester, NSu) were withdrawn after 23 September 1994 without replacement because of low passenger demand. Yarranton Bros. of Eardiston : 827 (Eastham - Broadheath - Stoke Bliss - Kyre -Tenbury Wells Schools, Sch) was lost to Primrose from 27 February 1995. Yarranton Bros. of Eardiston : 757 (Boraston - Tenbury, T) ceased after operation on 29 August 1995, a victim of cuts in Shropshire C.C.'s budget. 756 (Tenbury - Menithwood,T) was lost to Primrose from 5 September 1995, meaning that 758 (Tenbury - Worcester, NSu) no longer has positioning journeys to and from Menithwood. 763 (Eardiston - Clifton-upon-Teme Bank Street - Tenbury, T) is diverted via Orleton from the same date. Yarranton Bros of Tenbury : The last remnants of an Eardiston - Tenbury M-F peak service on 758 (Tenbury - Worcester, NSu) were withdrawn from 31 August 1996.

X1 (Hereford - London, Daily)
28 October 1991 : New long-distance service commenced, leaving Hereford 0755NSu, 1500Su, call- ing at Ross, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Charlton Kings, Cirencester and South Cerney Camp, then via M4 to Heathrow, Earls Court and Victoria Coach Station. Return from London is 1800NSu, 2000Su.

Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : 939 (Canon Pyon - Torvale Works, M-F) was withdrawn with- out replacement after operation on 9 April 1993. New services 116 (Hereford St. Owens Street - Broad Street -Hunderton - Newton Farm - The Oval - Bridge Street - Hereford St. Owens Street) and 119 (Hereford St. Owens Street - Broad Street - Bridge Street - Putson - Redhill - Bridge Street - Hereford St. Owens Street) commenced on 5 July 1993. Both run hourly Monday to Saturday with gaps at school peak times, and are a response to public requests for services to be reinstated to the St. Owens Street / Bridge Street areas of Hereford City Centre, both of which have doctors' surgeries close by. The Ledbury - Tewkesbury -Cheltenham - London (S) express service was withdrawn in February 1993. 116 (Hereford St. Owens Street -Bridge Street - Hunderton - Newton Farm) was withdrawn from 28 August 1993 and partially replaced by an additional hourly journey on 117 (Hereford Hopper Bus Station - Newton Farm), this hourly journey being diverted via Bridge Street. The journeys previously operat119 (Hereford St. Owens Street - Bridge Street -Putson / Red Hill) was similarly replaced by 2 new hourly services 108 (Hereford Hopper Bus Station - Bridge Street - Putson) and 109 (Hereford Hopper Bus Station - Bridge Street - Redhill). From 1 November 1993, certain journeys on service 113 (Hereford - Holmer Circular, NSu) were lost to Lugg Valley Motors (operating as service 114). From 15 November 1993, all remaining journeys on 113 were diverted via College Green instead of Venn's Lane, with extra service 114 journeys being operated by Lugg Valley Motors as circulars to and from Venn's Lane only (out via Venn's Lane, Return via College Green). The journeys previously operated by Phillips Coachways on service 117 (Hereford - Newton Farm) were acquired from 5 November 1993. The late Friday evening service on 453 (Hereford - Fownhope) was withdrawb from 1 November 1993, leaving only the S evening service. The Schooldays positioning journeys operated as service 38 between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye were curtailed to operate from Belmont and return to the Ship Inn only from 20 September 1993. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : The route of City services 108,109 and 117 was altered from 29 November 1993. These services no longer operate outward via Widemarsh Street and Broad Street, running via Victoria Street to Bridge Street. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : Experimental service 472 (Hereford - Canon Frome via Newtown, Upper Egleton, Stretton Grandison), running Wednesdays only, commenced on 6 April 1994. Supplementary service 461 (Hereford - Kington, M-F pm pk) was gained from Blue Line from 5 April 1994. Hereford City ser- vices 108 and 109 were amended from the same date. 108 (Putson, NESu) was given a double-run to and from the Pastures Estate, on the Hoarwithy Road, whilst one journey in each direction on 109 (Redhill, NESu) was diverted via Pentwyn Court, an old peoples' complex. 503 (Hereford - Eardisland - Leominster, S) was curtailed at Eardisland from 2 April 1994. The positioning journey that formerly operated as 501 is now numbered 503, running from Eardisland only. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : X15 (Hereford - Tenby, Summ S) is diverted via Saundersfoot for the Summer 1994 season. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : From 29 May 1994, 40 (Hereford - Brecon, Su) was revised and diverted to run from Madley via Peterchurch rather than Bredwardine to Hay-on-Wye. The revision allows the midday short trip to run to and from Hay-on-Wye rather than Madley. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : 472 (Canon Frome - Hereford, W) was lost to Bromyard Omnibus Company from 7 September 1994. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : 39 (Hay-on-Wye - Peterchurch - Hereford, Sch) was expanded from 26 September 1994 by the addition of one trip in each direction NSu between Peterchurch and Hereford via Kingstone and Clehonger. 33 (Symonds Yat - Ross-on-Wye via Llangrove, Llangarron and Wilton, TThS) and 476 (Hereford -> Ledbury via Bartestree, Tarrington and Trumpet, M-F early) were gained from Blue Line from 3 October 1994. X1 (Hereford - London via Cheltenham, Daily) was withdrawn after 29 October 1994 Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : X1 (Hereford - London, Daily) ceased after operation on 30 October 1994, being replaced partially by Na- tional Express services and partially by Primrose Motors service X1. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : Operation of the M-F evening peak journey on 461 (Hereford - Weobley - Kington) was gained by Sargeants from 27 February 1995. A single early morning M-F journey from Hereford to Ledbury on 476 was gained from DRM Coaches from the same date. 33 (Symonds Yat - Llangrove - Ross, TThS) was lost to Martins from 25 February 1995. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : 503 (Eardisland - Dilwyn - Hereford, S) was replaced by a Primrose Motors service from 22 April 1995. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : The early morning journey on 476 (Hereford - Ledbury) was gained by Smiths Motors in college holidays only from 27 May 1995. Yeomans continue to run on col- lege days. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : 444 (Hereford - Breinton, W) was withdrawn after operation on 30 August 1995, patronage having fallen too low to justify continuing subsidy. 458 (Fownhope - Holme Lacy - Ross, Th) was won from Youngs from 7 September 1995, with 809 (Here- ford Oval - Peterchurch High School, Sch) replacing a school contract and 807 (Belmont - Aylestone School) replacing a former Blue Line service from 4 September 1995. The late evening service on 453 (Woolhope - Hereford, NSu) was withdrawn from 2 September 1995, with most journeys on the service being diverted via Nover Wood Drive in Fownhope, this being part of a loop with Court Orchard. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : Some journeys are operated on 114 (Hereford - Bobblestock - Holmer - Hereford Circular) from 2 January 1996. These are extra journeys running via Venns Lane (previously all Yeomans journeys ran as 113 via College Green) and include some anti-clockwise jour- neys. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : 476 (Hereford - Ledbury, College days) was lost to Smiths of Ledbury from 29 January 1996. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : The Hereford City services were revised from 25 May 1996, with 104 (Hampton Park) being increased to a 30 minute ser- vice and 117 (Newton Farm) being rerouted away from Bridge Street. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : The timetabke of 446 (Hereford - Bishopstone - Eardisley - Almeley, NSu) was revised from 31 August 1996. The F off-peak and S morning service now runs Hereford - Staunton-on-Wye only and the W lunch-time journey runs at 1230 rather than 1410, together with other changes. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : 105 (Hereford - College Green, NESu) and 108 (Hereford - Putson, NESu were increased to every 30 minutes from 10 September 1996, with 109 (Hereford - Redhill, NESu) be- ing cancelled from the same date. The Yeomans journeys on 113/114 (Hereford - Bobblestock Circu- lar) were lost to Lugg Valley Motors from 9 September 1996. Certain WFS journeys on 412 (Hereford - Garway Common, NSu) were diverted via Pentwyn Court from 5 September 1996, whilst 809 (Whitecross - Peterchurch High School, Sch) was diverted via Eaton Bishop from 4 September 1996. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : The following pre-Christmas shopping services were operated on Wednesday evenings and Sundays from 17 November 1996 : 104/105x (Hereford - Tupsley Whittern Way - College Green - Hereford) and 117 (Hereford - Newton Farm). 402 (Bredwardine - Hay-on-Wye, Th) and 403 (Eardisley - Hay-on-Wye, Th) were withdrawn after operation on 5 Decem- ber 1996, without replacement. These two services had operated without subsidy since their com- mencement c.1981 following abandonment by Midland Red West. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Here- ford : The early morning service on 447/449 (Hereford - Madley) was reduced from 3 February 1997, whilst from 22 February, following retendering, 412 (Hereford - Garway, NSu) was lost to Midland Red West, 440 (Hereford - Longtown, NSu) was reduced to School and College Days only, 442 (Hereford - Abergavenny, T) was curtailed to start at Ewyas Harold and 476 (Hereford - Ledbury, Sch) was gained from Smiths of Ledbury. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : New Hereford city services started in competition with Midland Red West are 102 (Hereford - Bobblestock, NESu) and 103 (Hereford - Moor Farm, NESu) from 24 March 1997, each every 30 minutes although 103 was increased to every 15 minutes from 21 April 1997. This follows the loss of some rural service tenders to Midland Red West. X15 (Hereford - Tenby) will not run in 1997. 446 (Hereford - Eardisley, NSu) was reduced to school and college days only from 30 March 1997, with the off-peak services replaced by Browns of Builth Wells and the holidays services replaced by Sargeants Bros. 814 (College Green - Holmer School, Sch) was diverted via Bobblestock to incorporate 815 from 7 April 1997, whilst 816 (Abbeyfields/Newton Farm - Hunderton School) was withdrawn without replacement after operation on 23 March 1997. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : New Summer Saturday express service X28 (Hereford - Minehead via Ross, Monmouth, Tintern, Weston and Burnham) commenced on 7 June 1997. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : 101 (Hereford - Credenhill, NPESu ev 30 min) is an- other competitive service with Midland Red West, from 11 August 1997. All journeys on 103 (Hereford - Moor Farm, NESu) serve Bonington Drive from 4 September 1997 (with service number 103x there- fore not being used), although the peak-hour service is deleted. 441 (Clodock - Hereford via Longtown, Craswall, Michaelchurch Escley, Bob Shop, Gilfach, Bacton, Cockyard, Thruxton and Allensmore, W) and 442 (Ewyas Harold - Abergavenny via Lower Maescoed, The Bryn, Longtown, Clodock and Pandy, T) were lost to Abbey Cars with effect from 2 September 1997. 813 (Scudamore School service, Sch) is also cancelled and will not resume in September 1997. Yeomans have been tidying up their registrations, and it is confirmed that the following services no longer oper- ate : 476 (St Marys Sch - Whitecross), 849 (Whitecross - St Weonards), 411 (Saddlebow - Hereford), 106 (Belmont - Hereford) and 38(Belmont - Ross). Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : 420 (Here- ford - Worcester via Withington, Stoke Lacy, Bromyard, Whitbourne, Broadwas and Rushwick, NSu) is a new service of two off-peak round trips operating 10 minutes ahead of Midland Red West with effect from 15 September 1997. Yeomans Canyon Travel of Hereford : 17 Nov 1997 : 420 (Hereford - Bromyard - Worcester, NSu) was curtailed at Bromyard, with more journeys being run on the Hereford - Bromyard section. 27 Nov 1997 : 102 (Hereford - Bobblestock, NSu) increased to 15 min frequency (still no service at school peak times). George Young's Coaches of Dymock : 674 (Old Colwall - Wellington Heath - Ledbury John Masefield School) is a new Schooldays service from 26 February 1996 replacing the diversion of Newbury 675 from Malvern. George Youngs Coaches of Dymock : Summer Sunday and Bank Holiday service 234 (Worcester - Monmouth) has been gained by this operator for the new season, and recommenced on 26 May 1996. The service runs via Malvern Link, Barnards Green, Great Malvern, Malvern Wells, Ledbury, Hereford to Monmouth, then continuing to Ross-on-Wye via Whitchurch, Goodrich and Walford, with 1 round trip and two additional Monmouth - Ross short-work- ings. Youngs of Dymock : 35 (John Kyrle High School - Roman Way, Sch) was gained from Smiths with effect from 10 February 1997, but 674 (Storridge - Mathon - Old Colwall - Wellington Heath - Ledbury, Sch) was lost to Newbury Coaches in January 1997. George Youngs Coaches of Kempley : 677 (Much Marcle - Gloucester via Kempley Greeb, Newent, Glasshouse and Huntley, TF) was ac- quired from Tudor Coaches with effect from 7 October 1997. Your Bus (Smiths Coaches (Shenington) Ltd.) : As a consequence of the closure of the Alcester garage, the extensions beyond Druids Heath of 50Y (Alcester - Druids Heath - Birmingham) were reduced to one peak journey in each direction Monday to Friday plus one Birmingham to Portway evening peak journey from 5 September 1994. 53Y now operates solely within the Centro area. Your Bus (Smiths Coaches Shenington) of Birmingham : The afternoon journey on 50Y (Birmingham - Alcester) was retimed 1 minute later from 10 July 1995. This important change, not widely publicised by Hereford and Worcester County Coun- cil, has just come to my notice. Your Bus (Smiths) of Birmingham : The 1800 journey on service 50Y from Birmingham to Inkford Brook was diverted via Wythall Station, replacing a Midland Red West jour- ney, from 2 January 1996. WM Your Bus (Smiths Coaches (Shenington) Ltd.) : 50Y (Alcester - Bir- mingham, M-F pks) was reduced to one evening peak journey from Birmingham to Inkford Brook from 1 July 1996. Midland Red West are providing a replacement subsidised service 168 from Alcester to Bransons Cross, connecting there with their service 178.
