Some recent pictures taken in Skipton, Keighley and round about.
Starting in
Gargrave, where the
Pennine Motor Services office and garage is no more. Houses are
being built at the back of the site, and Pennine have moved to the
former Ribble garage in Skipton.
Services link Skipton with Ingleton, and with Burnley via
Barnoldswick.

Pennine used coaches on its local bus routes until the 1980s, when it
started buying second-hand Leyland Nationals. JIL4698 stands in
Skipton Bus Station in 2003.

Recently the firm have moved to buying second-hand Darts for their
local services.
This example is also in Skipton Bus Station.

Pride of the Dales also operate from Skipton, formerly a Ribble
stronghold. The firm run from Skipton up through Grassington and
Buckden into the more hilly area to the north. An Optare
Metrorider stands in the Bus Station in 2003.

By
2004 Pride of the Dales were operating this Solo on local service.

Keighley and District also run from Skipton, as successors to West
Yorkshire Road Car. In Keighley itself the local services were
relaunched in 2004 as "The Zone" with a fleet of Dennis Dart MPDs.

Keighley and District's other services operate under the Keighley
and District brand, here a Volvo with Wright body pulls into Keighley
Bus Station.
