Charles Brockhurst is at a pantomime with Stella Morton. The pantomime cat jumps off the stage, cavorts around the theatre, jumps into their box and then falls to the floor of the auditorium, injuring his foot. The show continues, but Stella Morton finds that she has lost a valuable diamond brooch. The police are called. Brockhurst is suspected and so is the actor playing the cat. The policeman asks a sharp question which exposes the culprit.
