An old confidence trickster returns to his home town of Plymouth, and tries to swindle a woman he was once in love with as a teenager. Eventually he abandons the attempt.
I have found no publication recorded for this story, The typescript was in a file of miscellaneous papers held by Curtis Brown. It has now been included in the new collection Comedies and Whimsies.
