Most Visitors will already know of this site, its a MUST for anyone interested in WW2 history and a sobering acknowledgement to the scale of human sacrifice that took place all those years ago
HMS Ringtail
Another excellent site that I thoroughly recommend. Dedicated to all those that served at the airfield in Burscough West Lancashire, it details the squadrons and personnel who served at the site along with memories of those who lived near to the Naval Air station.
Towpath Treks
This site covers all aspects of the Leeds Liverpool Canal. It includes the navigation's war time role not just in Merseyside and West Lancashire but through out its length. In addition it describes the history, natural history and interesting architecture of the canal and would be an invaluable guide for those considering a canal-side Trek.
