The Club was formed in readiness for the 1999/2000 season after breaking away from Basildon Boys Club, a local well established Boys Club, where most of the boys had played together since they were in the Under 8`s. In the Clubs first season we played in the Thundermite League`s Under 12`s B Division, which we won by quite a wide margin. In that same season we were also runners up in the Northwick Boys Eleven-a-side Soccer Tournament.

Our Manager in that first season was Mr Richard Ivory. The following season, 2000/2001, saw Mr Paul Coulson take over as manager and the Club finished in a creditable fifth position in the Premier Division of the same League. We won the Stanford Boys seven-a-side Soccer Tournament and were also runners up in the Forest Glade five-a-side Soccer Tournament. This season, 2001/2002, see`s us once again playing in the Premier Division of the Thundermite League and once again we are looking foward to another successful season.

In the annual pre-season Canvey Island Tournament, we finished runners up, for the second time in three seasons, only losing by a score line of 1-0 to a very good Redbridge Boys side. Lets hope this early success is a sign of better things to come throughout the season.

The 2002 -2003 season saw us enter the Premier Division of the Southend League after having won the League and Cup double in the Thundermite League, which was our most successful season to date.

This season has seen us lose the services of Stephen Richards, Dave Morley and Ashley Gage. We would like to wish the boys all the best for the future and thank them all for their continued efforts whilst being members of our club.

We would also like to welcome Jamie Gough and Barry Lough to the club and hope that they enjoy their time with us.

All credit to the boys for this superb achievement, but not forgetting all of the continual hard work that Paul Coulson and Lorri Turner put in week after week with the boys.

Our home strip has now changed to all blue from last seasons black and white stripes, which is now our second strip.

Club Manager

Mr Paul Coulson has been the Clubs Team Manager since the beginning of the 2000/2001 season. Paul is the National Sales Manager for AMRAF, a local Computer Training Company, but still finds a great deal of time for the Club, as besides Managing the Team, he takes the boys for training twice a week. Paul has made four new signings for the forth coming season, which will not only strengthen the squad but give a competetive edge for places in the team. With the introduction by the Thundermite League of a maximum of five `roll on roll off` substitutions during any game, Paul see`s this as a positive step which allows him to keep the entire squad involved during each and every game. His own career saw him playing as a defender for Billericay Town in the Ishmian League and Bowers United in the Essex Senior League. Paul`s son, Billy, is a defender at the club, regularly turning out at right back. Paul is a `die hard` Tottenham Hotspur fan and his favourite player is Stephen Carr.

Club Secretary

Mr Lorri Turner has been the Clubs Secretary since the beginning of the 2000/2001 season. Lorri is the Mortgage Service Manager for Countrywide Assured Mortgage Services PLC, another local based Company. Lorri also gives a great deal of time to the Club, as besides his Secretary duties, he also helps with training the boys twice a week and is also a qualified Referee and takes charge of some of the Clubs home games. Lorri has two sons at the club, Billy, a defender who plays at left back and Lorri(Jnr), who is the teams centre foward. Lorri is a Manchester United fan through and through and his favourite player is Paul Scholes.

Club Treasurer

Mr Jim Symeou has been the Treasurer since the Club was formed back at the beginning of the 1999/2000 season. Jim is the Group Head and Manager of the Planning Section of the Industrial Bank of Japan. Jim gives a great deal of his valuable time to the Club, in what is a very important roll to undertake. Jim`s son, Rikki, is a defender at the Club and is the Teams regular centre half. Jim is a Manchester United supporter and his favourite player is Roy Keane.

Club Leader

Mr Rob Richards has been the Club Leader since the beginning of the 2000/2001 season. Rob is a local business man who has interests in a Night Club, Snooker Hall and Hair Salon. An extremely busy person who still finds a lot of time for his continued commitment to the Club. His son Stephen is a forward at the Club. Rob supports Chelsea and his favourite player is Steve Terry. The begiining of the 2002/2003 season see`s Rob having now left the Club due to the fact that his son Stephen also left the Club.We would like to thank Rob for his endeavours and efforts with the Club during his time with us.

Club Chairman

Mr Steve Wynn has been the Chairman since the Club was formed back at the beginning of the 1999/2000 season. Steve is a local Police Officer, who`s current role is that of a Schools Liaison Officer working with youngsters in local Primary and Secondary schools. Steve is a qualified referee and takes charge of some of the Clubs home matches. He is a Leeds United fan and his favourite player is Lee Bowyer. Steve`s son Ross, is at the club and plays either in the heart of the defence or in the middle of midfield.
