This site is dedicated to the brave fishermen of Whinnyfold. Whinnyfold is a tiny fishing village situated two miles from Cruden Bay in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. One of those fishermen was my Great Grandfather who, with the others, risked their lives to save the crew of the "SS Xenia" on 1st February 1903 in a North-Westerly Gale of wind. This is the dramatic story of that rescue.
