This is an early version of the track that
has a completely different feel to the version that finally was recorded.
The whole "Bang Bang" bit is missing and is replaced by a superb Squire
riff. Its far better than the recorded version of the song. (In my
opinion!)
An unreleased Stone Roses track that seems
to have got its first live airing at this gig. A great track but does not
seem to go down well with the audience. Ian's words at the end of the
song, 'You did'nt like that one did you?' probably seals the songs
fate.
For those of you in posession of the Ian Brown single 'My Star',
the companion track 'See the Dawn' pays a lyrical tribute to this
track.
A rare live version of the Early Stone Roses
track. Its position as the last song played on the set goes to show just
how early a stage the Roses were in when this was recorded. (Before Sally
Cinnamon was released) However Elephant Stone and (Song For My) Sugar Spun
Sister were also present on the set indicating that the Roses had just
found the sound that would rise them to the hights of
fame.
Another unreleased Roses track. Quite a
short track at just over two and a half minutes, it lacks the polish of
the other songs sung at this particular
gig.

| Its not the Roses playing live but this is a beautiful acoustic demo of Going Down. Probably the best demo available from the band. During the chorus the guitar stops and chimes are played over Ian singing. If it were not for the subject matter of the song ;) then it would be a picture perfect innocent moment. |

|
| Recorded at the Infamous Blackpool gig. This
was the gig that really catapulted the Stone Roses into the hearts of the
nation. Ian Brown's vocals are on top form during this
performance. |
|
|
| The Glasgow Green gig was seen by many as
the Stone Roses finest hour. The quality of this performance is superb,
both the music and vocals are right on key. This was the last time they
were to play in the UK for 5 years. A month after this gig Fools Gold
reached number 4 in the UK single charts.

|
| Here's a treat for
ya! The only Stone Roses cover that I know of, this is them jamming out
the Bob Marley classic during their studio recordings for the Second
Coming. The big thing about this track is that Ian is singing while
playing the guitar on this one. Plus this proves Ian can sing well
when he wants too. Perhaps destined to be a companion track on one of
their singles, its a fitting tribute to the
Legend. |

|
| Fools Gold played on the Second Coming tour.
Like a remix, it is completely different to the version played in 1990.
John Squire plays a more rock funk sound on his guitar, and Nigel Ippinson
plays keyboards throughout. Ian is also having a good night in this track.
His voice perfectly in tune. In fact through the whole gig this is taken
from Ian's voice is excellent...A very rare
event! |

|
| This really is a must hear recording. When Ian falls silent and lets the crowd sing the second line of this song the atmosphere is electric. Also at the end of the track Ian chants and whistles, showing just how much he was enjoying this night. |
|
|
| Although the quality of the recording is of a lower quality than the previous tracks above this is a good example of the 'Second Coming' Roses with Maddix replacing Reni on drums. |
|
|
| This song sounds great live. The inclusion of the piano in the track really adds to the atmosphere. Also Ian Brown's singing is good in this track. |
|
|
| One of two new tracks played at what was to be the last ever Roses performance. The song itself is excellent, and an indication of what could have been. The other new track played was 'Ice Cold Cube' which a version of can be found on Ian Brown's first solo album. Of the two tracks I have to add that High Times is my favourite and should have also been on Ian's album. |
| Tears (Streaming Video Clip-7.43 minutes) Recorded live at The Brixton Academy 08/12/95. |
| Most of you will have Broadband now so I've added this extra special file to the collection. This is the Stone Roses performing Tears during their last UK tour. This is camcorder footage but its pretty good in both the visuals and sound. (except for the small picture size) The Brixton gigs were probably the best of the Second Coming tour. |
| Tightrope (Streaming Video Clip-7.43 minutes) Recorded live at The Brixton Academy 09/12/95. |
| This performance captures the impact the Roses had on a crowd. Ian begins to sing the song then stops and lets the audience sing the rest of the verse. This was never a single so all those voices you hear are fans who bought the Second Coming album and fell in love with it. Its an incredibly underrated album. |
| Made of Stone (Streaming Video Clip-5.00 minutes) Recorded live at The Brixton Academy 09/12/95. |
| My favorite Stone Roses song performed live. This clip contains some nice close-ups of John Squire in action during his solo. Incidentally Ian did this track at his solo gig in Aberdeen this year and it was amazing to hear. |
| Reading Press conference (Streaming Video Clip-38 seconds) Recorded live at Reading '96. |
| This is a very interesting clip. Ian is asked
why John Squire left the band and he explains what he feels are the
reasons for his departure. You can feel for Ian in this clip and it makes a lot
of sense, but I wonder if the Reni's hat comment at the end was 100% true.
The sound quality of this clip is not as good as I would have liked but
you can make out what Ian says after a few listens. Here's a snippet:
"My Man didn't want to play with me. He hasn't wanted to play with me since 1991. Hasn't want to play with Reni since 1991. Hasn't wanted to play with Mani since '91. Hasn't wanted to play with any of us. He didn't want to play with us for a long time." |
| Love Spreads (Video Clip-14 seconds) Recorded live at the Reading Festival 1996. |
| I have to include this clip of the gig as it gives a good impression of how the gig was going!
This clip shows Ian Brown indicating to the sound man to turn up his microphone...Watch Mani's response!! The clip itself
is 2.21MB in size and its well worth the download. Trust me!

| Ten Storey Love Song (Video Clip- 14seconds) Recorded live at the Reading Festival 1996. |
| Ian may have been off key at Reading but I
think that this was what really upset the press! You've heard about
Her, now see Her. I present to you the infamous Roses 'Dancing Girl!' File
size 2.19MB. (P.S. Watch her move her feet in time to the beat...Ahem!)
