McGlone condemns Orange Hall attack

SDLP deputy leader Patsy McGlone has condemned an arson attack at an Orange Hall in Pomeroy.

The Mid Ulster MLA said: “This is a very disappointing attack and one that I hope will not lead to any further attacks.

“People of every colour, creed and religion have the right to meet and practice their beliefs in a safe environment without the fear of violence or the threat of it.

“Just what exactly do those carrying out this sort of attack think they are achieving? Those responsible have nothing to offer society and will only serve to copy the failed campaign of the past.”
