MCGLONE: HOSTAGE TAKERS HAVE NO
PLACE IN SOCIETY
SDLP Mid Ulster MLA Patsy McGlone has
condemned those who held a Coalisland family hostage before attempting to
hijack a cash in transit van on Thursday.
He said: “This type of thuggery has no place in the community and the people
of Coalisland, or anywhere, do not deserve to be harassed and humiliated in
this manner.
“It’s hard to comprehend the thought processes of those who think it’s
acceptable to carry out this sort of attack. Unfortunately, this sort of
violent robbery is occurring. I condemn this crime unreservedly and hope
that those responsible are swiftly brought before the courts and I urge
anyone with information to pass it to the police.”
