We are a Wado Ryu Karate club based in South Wales, U.K. The club has been running since 2001 when the club instructor, Gavin Evans 2nd Dan, formed his own club in and around the area of Glynneath. The club has opened in several different areas including Rhigos, Glynneath, Cwmgwrach and Pontneathvaughan. Instead of the different areas Gavin has now concentrated on one Dojo, Pontneathvaughan Village Hall and teaches there four nights a week plus some weekends.
Pontneathvaughan is a village about 3 miles away from Glynneath which is in the county of Powys and is a beautiful and picturesque area with a lot of visitors coming from all over the UK to see it's natural waterfalls. As well as the waterfalls the area caters for rock climbing,caving and potholing as well as fishing and canoeing.
